Have you ever wondered how to create a beautiful watercolor effect on your ceramics? The technique is simple!
Start by choosing your colors. We recommend using at least 2-3 colors so you can create contrast and dimension in your design. Try choosing colors that blend well together or experiment with different shades to create your own custom look.
Next, take a small amount of each color and mix it with water. Start by adding just a little water at a time and continue mixing until your paint reaches a thin, watery consistency. The more water you add, the lighter and more transparent your colors will become.
Now it’s time to paint! Create an abstract design with flowing shapes and blended colors or choose a specific image or pattern to bring to life. Layer lighter and darker shades together to add depth and allow the colors to naturally blend into one another.
Don’t be afraid to experiment! Watercolor effects are all about movement and creativity, so every piece will have its own unique look and personality!
