Pottery wheels have arrived at Wish!

Have you always wanted to try throwing pottery on a wheel? Our try-it wheel classes are the perfect place to start! Whether you’re looking for a fun new hobby, or just a way to relax over the weekend, wheel throwing is the way to go.

Throwing on a wheel has three main steps—centering, opening, and pulling. Your instructor will walk you through each of these steps alongside you to give a visual of how it’s done, while a helper walks around and gives you tips on how to make your piece perfect!

Just like with clay handbuilding, pieces thrown on the wheel will be fired first and painted in a second session. We have tons of colorful, easy-to-use glazes, so anyone can create a masterpiece.

Our pottery wheel classes run every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. All of our wheel classes have a max of 4 people, which is perfect for a lowkey class with friends, or trying it out by yourself! Classes are $70 per person for once piece, and any additional pieces you would like us to fire are $15 each.
